I had a bad herniated disc last year and was able to work my way out of it by major physical therapy, steroid and injections. My PT had me really focusing on core position and strengthening. It started me down a path of good strong work outs focused on this aspect. I have been wearing these ankle weights for about 9 months ( starting with light weight) almost everyday gym, running errands, around the house, work, etc.. When I walk with them, it allows me to slow down and focus on tight core and my entire body position.
These are by far my favorite weights. I have bought in 2bl, 3bl and recently 5lb each.
No long velcro strap to meticulously string through a small D-ring.
Easy to find end, to grip, open and remove.
They are comfortable and do not scratch or blister.
Not huge and bulky.
*The extra resistance to my workout has greatly improve my gym results on building core, leg and glute muscles. I have stomach muscles I never knew existed. I can't workout with out it now, feels too easy- plus I feel like a bad *ss. 🙂
